Life Tithe for Christ

Not to be served but to serve is the vision that our Lord has entrusted His Church. This is how the Church functions as the Salt of the Earth and a Light to the world. The Mar Thoma Church has always been in the forefront to serve the needy in the community. As a result various projects have been successfully carried out and are still being carried on by the different organizations and agencies of the church. The Mar Thoma Church has a vast pool of highly talented and dedicated laity who support the mission activities of the church. But unfortunately it is limited to the geographical area where the live. Life Tithe for Christ is a new project that is being initiated by the Chengannur- Mavelikara Diocese to tap into the vast human resources available in the church. Through this project Volunteers my use a tithe of their time to serve in one of the mission fields or social welfare organizations of the Church. This will enable them to get a firsthand awareness of the mission activities and they can fruitfully use their talents to support and develop these projects. They can serve in these projects as volunteers for a period of time at their convenience.
